Each OFC community liaison is a resident of the area they serve and available to share information about the work of the food council and engagement opportunities with their community members. Our liaisons can also relay information to the council and provide representation for their community should questions, issues, or opportunities arise. We encourage community level organizing around local food system issues and will be working closely with the liaisons to ensure that our collective efforts are cohesive in pursuit of our county-level goals.
We have some areas of the county where we are still seeking representation to work with the food council and serve the local communities. Please reach out to us if you are interested in learning more about community organizing work with the OFC and supporting these efforts in your area. Contact OFC operations director at the email address provided above or at (864)-280-5726.
