Rodney is currently the Culinary Arts Instructor at the Hamilton Career and Technology Center located in Westminster, South Carolina. He is in his 24th year of teaching culinary. Started teaching in 1998. I am a proud instructor who has led many young men and women to the hospitality arena. Rodney is the Culinary Arts Instructor at the Hamilton Career and Technology Center in Westminster, SC. He has been a proud instructor Prior to working at the Career Center, he worked at a local restaurant— Steak and Waffle — as an operating partner and store manager for 10 years. He remembers it as an awesome experience for himself and his family, employees, and the owners of the establishment. Rodney was born in Charleston SC and has nine siblings. He is a graduate of North Charleston High School and a very proud alumnus of Clemson University, where he was fortunate to play collegiate football from 1982 to 1986. He was a member of 3 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship teams and received three varsity letters. He is married to his beautiful wife, Thelma, who is from Far Rockaway Queens, New York. They have a wonderful daughter and three grandchildren with whom they enjoy spending time. Rodney enjoys fishing, golfing, traveling, and of course cooking. He is also a huge fan of meeting people and sharing his gifts with them.
